The International Media and Culture programme at the DOEN Foundation supports innovative local organisations in North, East and West Africa that create more space for imagination and thus strengthen the cultural sector in some contexts and contributes to cultural renewal in others. As Officer for the programme, I was the first contact point for partners and (potential) applicants. I evaluated applications and reports, draft and administer funding agreements and keep track of the programme's pipeline and budgeting. I actively corresponded with partner and network organisations, connecting and informing them. In this function I also grew into a managerial function of our cultural mobility programme that we facilitated among network organisations and partners worldwide. I also played a leading role in programme evaluations and sectoral research with external consultants. These responsibilities were executed in Dutch, English and French.
