❖ Development of firmware for a rapid Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tester using safety critical embedded C for ARM Cortex-M4 processor in a Spira Team, Bitbucket and Git development environment. ❖ Development of hardware interface and protocol software for UART, PL5000 barcode reader and other sensors. ❖ Bespoke thermal management software to control PCR process and allow end of line calibration. ❖ Full lifecycle software support to allow successful product development in ambitious timescales including requirements, design and code to meet IEC 62304. ❖ Test development, review, execution and general support for both firmware and PC application testing. ❖ PC application test automation using Rapise.

❖ Responsible for providing embedded test expertise to support test case development for a new blood diagnostic device. ❖ Development and review of test cases for the embedded software against high level requirements to meet IEC62304. ❖ Testing activities including software and hardware fault insertion. ❖ Development of tool qualification requirements and test cases.

❖ Responsible for developing the embedded software to medical software standard IEC62304 for a new heart scanning device. ❖ Software updates delivered on-time to support major milestones. ❖ Communication protocol design improvements to support future product requirements. ❖ Bare metal embedded C software development including I2C, SPI, USB, ECG and MCG drivers for STM32F7 MCU with Arm Cortex-M7 core. ❖ ADC driver design and optimisation to ensure real-time data transfer timing constraints were met. ❖ Software optimisation covering foreground processing, scheduling strategy and interrupts, to ensure real-time constraints are met by the system. ❖ Software/Software and Hardware/Software integration including data processing using Python.
