Drug hunter with more than 20 years of experience in Biotech/Pharma environment, I contributed to the identification of 13 preclinical candidates, of which 7 were evaluated in clinical trials, including GLPG1690/Ziritaxestat for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and GLPG3970 for the treatment of Ulcerative Colitis and other inflammatory/autoimmune diseases.
I have experience in several therapeutic areas including Immunology, Fibrosis, Oncology and Antibacterials.
My roles as Lead Chemist and then as Project Leader allowed me to develop a broad expertise in drug discovery including skills and strategies to tackle some of the multiple challenges on the way to identify new drugs from Hit identification to lead optimization and early preclinical development.
