Project Quality Manager (QA/QC manager) for a multi-million euros investment in
the refurbishment of a rolling mill as well as the installation of a descaling
system. The purpose is to improve the final product (in terms of thickness and
flatness) as well as to develop many new products (market share).
My mission is to carry out the project's quality plan, coordinate and supervise the
QA/QC team, and monitor document and service compliance with standards and
regulations (PED, Machinery, CEM, etc.). Main tasks assigned :
- Attending regular project meetings (MoM, KoM) to offer quality and standard
information
- Participating in bidding
- Ensure that all regulatory, legal, and client requirements are met
- Performing material, dimensional, fabrication, welding, NDT, pressure testing,
and quality control surveillance checks to ensure that all fabrications and
deliverables satisfy the specifications
- Prior to release from the subcontractor plant, ensuring that the
subcontractor's ITPs are followed and that all manufactured items and LTQR
documents fulfill the criteria
- Managing contractors inspection & test plans (ITP)
- Monitoring Quality trainings
- Through multidisciplinary work such as piping, steel structure, mechanical,
civil work and E&I / Automation, creating the AWP Advanced Work Package
and Test Package inside the project with engineers
- Auditing the job site and subcontractors
- Organizing and coordinating inspection teams
- Ensuring that all necessary inspections are carried out
- Report to the Project Manager on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
