With a solid experience in human health and diseases, I have concentrated my research on the discovery of biomarkers and therapeutic targets by the use and analysis of high-throuput genomic data. Integrative analysis offers the possibility to decipher the pathological mechanisms and to further individualize treatments. Availability of such data in public repositories also enables to robustify results and to access larger cohorts, which is particularly well-suited for uncommon pathologic situations. In these rare situations, as new drug development is mostly not the primary option, repurposing of molecules with good safety and efficacy profiles appears as a nice therapeutic alternative to overcome the unmet medical need.
