Graphic designer Yannick Cordemy fills all his spare time taking photos. He told Konbini why it has been a long-term passion.
"It feels like I started taking photos the day I opened my eyes. Photography for me is above all a practice of memories, a pause in time. The best tool for creating images is the eye."
We took a look at one particular photo series, Chasing the mist, a collection of black and white photos which are commonly linked by the presence of an atmospheric mist. An element that has inspired the artist for many years. Cordemy's work plays with lines and symmetry. His images, plunged into thick mist, bring us into a universe that is at once mysterious and melancholy.
